I want to bring the joy back into learning.
Not only for kids, but for you - parents, grandparents, siblings, teachers, and daycare owners who want to bring learning to life in your homes and centers.
Most of my career has been in early education. From 2000 onwards I dedicated my days to helping young kids learn the basics, from walking and talking to reading and writing.
But, I have also been a mom who struggled.
When my daughter, Maya, was little, she had such severe eczema that she could not go to class. We tried a lot of home remedies, but when she ended up in the emergency room for her eczema, I knew that she had to be taught at home.
So, how did we manage this? I went to Walmart. I went to Target. I went to the Dollar Store. I spent a small fortune on coloring books and supplies, and for what? A filled-in coloring book that my daughter spent all of two minutes on and a bored, unfulfilled child.
It was then that I knew something had to change, not only in my own home but in the education industry as a whole.
So, from March 2015, I became an education entrepreneur.
Kids’ passions come out from hands-on learning. Kids come alive when they get to use their imagination and talent to help them learn.
It’s time to get out of the worksheets and standard learning and into a zone that helps kids thrive. That’s what Learning Express aims to do.
Learning Express comes from a mother and an educator to families all over the US and beyond. It’s a curriculum created by someone who knows the system inside and out and understands how to get the best out of kids in time for their next big stage.
With Educational Learning Express, your toddler will feel prepared for their next phase.
With Learning Express, your child will be SO excited for kindergarten.
With Educational Learning Express, you’ll feel ready to help the child in your life find joy in their learning.
That’s why I created Educational Learning Express.
And the best part about this? My daughter, Maya is my partner in this. We’ve made her own little desk, and she helps out whenever she can.
It’s time to find joy in learning again.
All aboard the Learning Express!
Love,
LaShon and Ma’ya Carter
